Hi, I’m Luke Taylor, the filmmaker behind Luke Taylor Films.

I’m based in the Reno / Lake Tahoe area, a place that constantly inspires my work. Through video and photography, I’ve had the opportunity to travel to many different places for creative projects, experiences that have shaped how I approach storytelling. While I love filming weddings locally, I’m always excited to travel wherever your story takes me.

I first fell in love with filmmaking in high school, and in 2016 I began pursuing it professionally. Along the way, I connected with an incredible community of photographers and filmmakers in the Reno area who became close friends and continually pushed me to grow creatively.

About My Work

Filming

My approach to wedding films is deeply cinematic and story-driven. I focus on telling your story using the most powerful words of the day, your own. Vows, speeches, and real audio moments are at the heart of my films, woven together to create something emotional, timeless, and true to who you are as a couple.

When I’m filming, my goal is to capture the moments that often go unnoticed, the quiet glances, the deep breaths, and the in-between moments that show genuine love and connection. These are the memories people rarely see, but the ones that mean the most when you look back.

On a wedding day, I focus on being a calm, steady presence. I understand how meaningful, and sometimes overwhelming the day can be, and I work to bring a reassuring energy that helps couples feel comfortable, present, and able to fully enjoy their wedding while I quietly capture it as it naturally unfolds.
